WWII Purple Heart Grouping 351st Infantry
Item: WWII4412

Nice researchable grouping that belonged to Alvin P. Savoie who was a Staff Sergeant in the 351st Infantry Regiment, 88th Division.  Included in this grouping are: his cased and numbered purple heart; named bronze star; CIB; two dog tags; victory medal ribbon; his original discharge document; original separation qualification record; yard long photo with him marked off with a piece of post it note; copy of a studio picture of him and three brothers; condolence letter from President Truman recognizing his passing post war.  The case is not in very good shape.  The bronze star is not recorded on has paperwork.  It most likely was applied for after 1947 to accompany his CIB.
